Opportunity Knocks at Richdale...
Hi I’m Wanda and I am going on 18 years at Richdale. Prior to joining Richdale, I was a Store Manager at Target Corp. While my position was great, I decided to ditch the red vest and seek new opportunities outside of retail. I started out in the purchasing department and quickly excelled. Noticing my knack for detail and my obsession for staying organized, I transitioned into a property management role where I was in charge of all Maintenance and Leasing. As the company grew, I grew too, gaining new communities and soon cities to manage. As a regional manager, I love that we are building new properties because I really get to be involved with the design and development process. We build, own, and manage our communities and it’s so much fun seeing the latest and greatest Richdale community come to market. What is the best part of working here? Every day is different and there is always a new challenge.
Hi, I’m Maria and I am a Leasing Professional. Prior to joining the Richdale Team, I actually worked for a cemetery. You might say there was not a lot of one-on-one interaction at my job. One day, I became dead-set on leaving the funeral industry and becoming a Leasing Professional was a perfect transition. I love that my position has such variety and that I get to meet new people on a daily basis. Our residents are such a pleasure to get to know and I love to hear how their apartment home has brought them happiness. My favorite part of the position is that I get to work in such a beautiful setting. Rather than sitting behind a desk all day, I conduct property tours around luxurious swimming pools and fabulously decorated models. Not a bad way to spend the day, right?
Hi, I’m Ryan. After graduation, I was recruited by a large finance company which was at the time my dream job. I soon learned though that the name on the letterhead was the only thing that was exciting about my company. I used to down my double espresso just to stay awake through my long, endless days at the bank watching the clock go tick-tock as I calculated how many more hours till Friday. It was during a case of the “Mondays” seven years ago that I decided to seek bigger (and better) opportunities. I started out as a Resident Relations Customer Service Specialist and then was given the opportunity to manage the entire team. Next, I was put in charge of a new strategic business development division and have since been on the fast-track up the corporate ladder. Today, I oversee a large team and am responsible for business-to-business partnerships. I get to interface with senior management and make decisions that drive revenue and improve service to the resident customers nationwide.
Hi, I’m Mike. I started as a Security Guard at Richdale when I was 19 years old. It was my very first job and I didn’t quite know “what I would do when I grew up”. Richdale offered me an opportunity to join the Maintenance team as a Make-Ready Technician. Providing me with the tools I needed to grow, I started to earn certifications and within a few years I was the Lead Maintenance Technician at a property. Every day I am so lucky to get to work with such great people both on the Maintenance team as well as in the Leasing office. I love not being stuck in the office and getting to spend my days out and about in our wonderful properties and serving our residents.
