City of Houston Boil Notice Lifted Sunday, 2/21/21


Before drinking, we recommend a few steps to flush your water lines:

  • Turn on your cold water tap on each faucet and run for two minutes

  • Use a toothbrush and some vinegar to clean any particles from your faucet's aerator. 

  • Throw out any ice,and run the ice maker for 1 hour and throw away any ice made during that time. Wash the bin area.

The District G water distribution site will be operating at Grace Presbyterian Church on Wednesday, February 25, with bottled water from 11:00 - 1:00 PM or until supply runs out.

What are some best practices for filing a claim in the event of property loss? 

  • Make sure the premises are safe prior to entering

  • Make reasonable and necessary repairs to protect yourself and your property from further damage

  • If possible, take photos of the damaged items

  • Keep a record or damaged items (to include proof of ownership)

  • Retain any receipts for expenses resulting from the loss

  • Report the loss as quickly as possible ​

Process of Repairs

  1. Damage will be assessed

  2. Repair broken pipes and plumbing

  3. Area must completely dry out before sheetrock can be replaced

  4. Replace sheetrock and carpentry as needed

Texas Rent Support

The Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs (TDHCA) has received $1.3 billion in Emergency Rental Assistance funds from the newly passed Coronavirus Relief Bill.
